{"id":318404,"date":"2020-03-03T06:06:38","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T20:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=318404"},"modified":"2020-03-03T06:06:38","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T20:06:38","slug":"1-8m-exposure-for-marianas-via-creators-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/1-8m-exposure-for-marianas-via-creators-camp\/","title":{"rendered":"$1.8M exposure for Marianas via \u2018Creators Camp\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority recently teamed up with popular Japanese online travel platform Tabippo.net on a promotion expected to bring the Marianas $1.8 million in online exposure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreators Camp in Saipan\u201d was held on Feb. 15-16, 2020, with five young moviemakers and five popular Instagrammers creating original content in the Marianas. Tabippo.net is publishing three articles on the Marianas and the camp, targeting its 2 million monthly online users, 34,000 Instagram followers, and 58,000 Twitter followers interested in active travel, photography, and creative work. The content was also posted to the artists\u2019 and Instagrammers\u2019 social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe timing of \u2018Creators Camp in Saipan\u2019 is perfect as we aim to maintain\u2014if not increase\u2014our number of visitors from Japan,\u201d said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo.  \u201cThis camp is also a strategic use of our funding.  Tabippo.net primarily targets active travelers in their late teens to 30s, and we expect the quality content created during the camp to generate a lot of online buzz about the Marianas through both Tabippo.net and the creators, themselves, who were chosen for their artistic abilities and large social media following.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Activities included snorkeling at Grotto, an off-road buggy tour with Marianas Trekking, filming at Micro Beach, parasailing and snorkeling at Managaha, lunch at The Shack, windsurfing, sunset barbecue dinner at Aqua Resort Club, hiking to Forbidden Island, lunch at Surf Club, beach yoga, lunch at Loco Taco, and filming at Hyatt Regency Saipan. The group lodged at G.T. Guest House and Hyatt Regency Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the original movies will also be displayed by the MVA at select Tokyo train station digital advertising sites in the spring.
