TanHoldings Football Club is one win away from sweeping the first round of the co-ed U13 division competition in the 2020 NMIFA Spring Youth League after easing past Shirley\u2019s Football Club, 4-1, last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n

Mark Ryan Costales scored a hat trick to lift TanHoldings to its third consecutive victory in the double round-robin contest. Christian Lucero posted the other goal for TanHoldings, which will go for the first round sweep next Saturday when it takes on Matansa.<\/p>\n

Costales delivered his goals in succession, as he hit the board in the 12th, 19th, and 22nd minute, while Lucero\u2019s goal came in the 55th. Shirley\u2019s lone goal in the match was courtesy of Bennetton Haro in the seventh minute.<\/p>\n

In the other game in the division, Kanoa foiled Matansa\u2019s bid to enter the win column after rallying and forcing a draw.<\/p>\n

Kanoa was once down at 5-2 after Justin Camacho drilled three straight goals for Matansa. Rigel Devey, Angelo De Belen, and Paul Lizama then found the back of the net to save Kanoa with the latter scoring the game-tying goal just three minutes before the match concluded.<\/p>\n

Lizama also registered the first two goals of Kanoa, while Wataru Kadokura did the same for Matansa, which got all its goals in the opening 35 minutes of the duel.<\/p>\n

BOYS U19
\nMP United 2, TanHoldings 2<\/strong>
\nThe first game in the boys U19 division last Friday also ended in a standoff.<\/p>\n

John Bucayo nailed the equalizer for MP United in the 82nd minute.<\/p>\n

It was a tough result for TanHoldings, as it led by two at the break, 2-0. Mark Esalan put TanHoldings on the board in the 17th minute, while Kohtaro Goto made it a 2-0 advantage three minutes later.<\/p>\n

TanHoldings managed to hang on to the driver\u2019s seat for a long time before Oliver Lee broke MP United\u2019s silence in the 66th minute and Bucayo knotted the score with eight minutes to go in the game.<\/p>\n

NMI U15 6, Kanoa 2 0<\/strong>
\nThe NMI Boys U15 National Team bagged its first win of the season after shutting down Kanoa 2.<\/p>\n

Andrew Chung recorded two goals for NMI U15, while Andrew Sablan, Jerald Aquino, and Philip Megino contributed one apiece.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
