{"id":318578,"date":"2020-03-05T06:00:24","date_gmt":"2020-03-04T20:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=318578"},"modified":"2020-03-05T06:00:24","modified_gmt":"2020-03-04T20:00:24","slug":"fsu-to-continue-masters-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/fsu-to-continue-masters-program\/","title":{"rendered":"FSU to continue master\u2019s program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Northern Marianas College dispelled speculations of students yesterday about the Master of Education\u2013Concentration in International Teaching program and rumors about the program\u2019s possible discontinuation.<\/p>\n<p>Les Ogumoro-Uludong, Framingham State University site coordinator, stated that the program will only be discontinued if the minimum number of required students is not met.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum number of students that are required in order to form a cohort\u2014which is a graduating class\u2014is 23 and, according to Ogumoro-Uludong there were less than 10 students who had signed up for the spring program, which resulted in the program being postponed until fall.<\/p>\n<p>FSU still has spots for the fall program.<\/p>\n<p>The program is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. NMC had been hosting the program since 2001, with over 300 CNMI graduates so far.<\/p>\n<p>Last December 2019, there were 24 graduates from Cohort 12; this April, there will be 25 graduates from Cohort 13.<\/p>\n<p>In order to enter the program, you must have a bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited college or university.
