(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In its ongoing efforts to further higher education in the Marianas, Pacifica Insurance is offering a $5,000 hole-in-one prize for the 16th Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open Golf Tournament scheduled for March 21.<\/p>\n<p>The first lucky golfer who makes a hole-in-one at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort\u2019s hole No. 4 on the east course will win the prize.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNMC plays a vital role in the lives of our people and their education,\u201d said Pacifica Insurance president Shirley Sablan. \u201cThey need our support now more than ever before to recover and rebuild in order to keep essential programs running, classrooms functional and facilities advanced.  Golf for a cause or donate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from this year\u2019s tournament will go to helping NMC with its recovery efforts from Super Typhoon Yutu, which destroyed most of NMC\u2019s campus in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPacifica Insurance\u2019s contribution and steadfast support throughout the years reflect the company\u2019s commitment to providing educational opportunities for CNMI students,\u201d said NMC interim president Frankie Eliptico.<\/p>\n<p>The 16th Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open Golf Tournament  will have a showtime at 6am and shotgun start at 7am. The tournament will follow a medal play format.<\/p>\n<p>First place winners in the men\u2019s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Ladies Flights will each receive $500, while $300 and $200 will go to the second and third place finishers, respectively. Hole-in-one prizes also include a 2020 Kia Soul from Joeten Motors and a $5,000 hole-in-one prize from McDonald\u2019s. The tournament will also feature many other items such as raffle prizes like smartphones, hotel stays, meals, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Registration and payment can be made at Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort or the NMC Cashier\u2019s Office.
