{"id":318620,"date":"2020-03-06T06:00:15","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T20:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=318620"},"modified":"2020-03-06T06:00:15","modified_gmt":"2020-03-05T20:00:15","slug":"korean-community-donates-2k-to-bury-unclaimed-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/korean-community-donates-2k-to-bury-unclaimed-body\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean community donates $2K to bury unclaimed body"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Korean community on Saipan paid for the expenses incurred in the burial of a 49-year-old male who passed away last Feb. 8.<\/p>\n<p>According to Won Suk Bang, Korean consular assistant, the Korean community helped pitch in with donations and that\u2019s how they were able to donate $2,000 to the Commonwealth Health Care Corp. to pay for burial expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Hun Young Park, a 49-year-old male, had a stroke one week prior to his death. According to Bang, Park had been admitted to the intensive care of the Commonwealth Health Center and progressively worsened. Park\u2019s body remained unclaimed because he had no family on the island and had no known history of an employer.
