All other Guam branches remain closed.<br \/>\nAll of the bank\u2019s branches throughout the neighboring Islands and San Francisco operating hours from Monday through Friday, also effective yesterday:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 CNMI (Saipan, Rota and Tinian) \u2013 9am to 1pm (Chalan Piao closed)<br \/>\n\u2022 San Francisco &#8211; 9am to 1pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Federated States of Micronesia (Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap) &#8211; 9am to 1pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Republic of the Marshall Islands (Majuro) \u2013 10am to 2pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Republic of Palau \u2013 9:30am to 1:30pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Transactions that are accepted in the branches that remain open are:<br \/>\n\u2022 Check cashing, deposits and withdrawals<br \/>\n\u2022 Loan and credit card payments<br \/>\n\u2022 Utility payments<br \/>\n\u2022 Merchant transactions<\/p>\n<p>Joaquin P.L.G. Cook, Bank of Guam president and chief executive officer stated, \u201cWe have been regularly reviewing evolving COVID-19 events in our region, with our employees, customers and our community at the forefront of our priorities. More than ever, protecting our community is critical. The decision was very difficult and not taken lightly. Our decision to limit Guam branch openings to a single one in Hagatna helps achieve our goal to slow the spread of COVID-19 and still provide needed services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say, \u201cEveryone must make a concerted effort to remain at home to strengthen social distancing and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
