Her bail was set at $5,750 cash. Preliminary hearing is on Jan. 9, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The victim sustained burn marks on his arms.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court associate judge Joseph N. Camacho presided over yesterday&#8217;s bail hearing. Acting chief prosecutor Peter Prestley appeared for the government. Assistant public defender Daniel Guidotti served as counsel for the defendant.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary police investigation states that Guiao repeatedly struck the victim with a hot frying pan. He tried to protect himself with his arms. He managed to take the frying pan away and asked their children to call the police.<\/p>\n<p>As Guiao was talking to police officer Jason Tarkong, the fire alarm went off in the bedroom of the house.
