{"id":322855,"date":"2020-05-14T06:00:28","date_gmt":"2020-05-13T20:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=322855"},"modified":"2020-05-14T06:00:28","modified_gmt":"2020-05-13T20:00:28","slug":"amp-to-host-teacher-ranger-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/amp-to-host-teacher-ranger-program\/","title":{"rendered":"AMP to host teacher ranger program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This summer, American Memorial Park has been selected to participate in the Teacher Ranger Teacher program.\u00a0\u00a0The purpose of the program is to provide teachers an opportunity to learn about National Park Service educational resources and themes while earning continuing education credits through a partnership between the NPS and the University of Colorado, Denver.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Participating teachers will spend 240 hours working with park staff developing an education program as well as completing three graduate credit hours of coursework in Experiential Learning online.\u00a0\u00a0Upon completion of the program, teachers will receive a $3,000 stipend from the university.\u00a0\u00a0The program will begin on June 15, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers instructing K-12th\u00a0grade students are encouraged to apply.
