{"id":324931,"date":"2020-06-17T06:00:50","date_gmt":"2020-06-16T20:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=324931"},"modified":"2020-06-17T06:00:50","modified_gmt":"2020-06-16T20:00:50","slug":"community-briefs-june-17-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/community-briefs-june-17-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Briefs &#8211; June 17, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NMC\u2019s \u2018Cash for College\u2019 webinar on June 18<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested individuals who are looking for money to pay for college are encouraged to attend the Northern Marianas College\u2019s upcoming free \u201cCash for College\u201d webinar that will be hosted online through Zoom on Thursday, June 18, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will be provided with personal, one-on-one assistance with the available local and federal scholarships such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, CNMI Scholarship, Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance, Tinian Municipal Scholarship, Rota Municipal Scholarship, and the TEACH Grant.<\/p>\n<p>Staff members from the college\u2019s Office of Admissions and Records will also be present during the webinar to provide information and assistance with the NMC admission application process. In addition, those who participate in the webinar will qualify to have their NMC application fee and placement test fees waived for the upcoming fall 2020 semester. This waiver represents a savings of up to $75.<\/p>\n<p>The registration link is available here:\u00a0bit.ly\/2UwucWO. You are also welcome to call in your request at 237-3202.\u00a0<strong>(PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Medicaid Office updates business hours <\/strong><br \/>\nBeginning Monday, June 22, 2020, the CNMI State Medicaid Agency office will be accepting walk-in clients on Monday-Thursday, from 7:30am to 12pm.
