On Thursday, June 18, 2020, at about 1:31pm, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a theft incident at a private home on Navy Hill, Saipan. <\/p>\n
According to a DPS statement about the incident, the police officers who were dispatched to the scene met with the caller who stated that an individual walked around the victim\u2019s residence and climbed on the roof of the victim\u2019s home to pick mangoes from a tree. The suspect then put the\u00a0fruits in his vehicle before returning to the property and looking around the victim\u2019s boat. The suspect then climbed onto the boat and removed a Penn International 120 electric reel and placed it in his vehicle before leaving with a female passenger. The suspect\u2019s vehicle is described as a black Mazda3 sedan. <\/p>\n
It was not clarified in the police statement how the victim knew what the thief did.<\/p>\n
