Playing for a collegiate level team did not seem possible to Del Rosario without the support of his family.

“My family has always been supportive of my passion for soccer. I come from a very athletic family,” Del Rosario said. “My dad would record my soccer games and we created a collection of footage to show mainland recruiters my abilities through a recruitment website. Without the support of my family and their efforts to assist me, I don’t think I’d be at NKU.”

“Enrico has always been one of Mount Carmel’s most promising students,” said MCS president Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero. “It’s one thing to have athletic ability, it’s another to value and prioritize your education. It’s not surprising to see how far Enrico has come and will continue to grow. One of the goals in our athletic program is to continue fostering students like Enrico who are dedicated to their sport but most especially their education.”

Del Rosario is set to graduate from Northern Kentucky University this December 2020. He will receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

“My family, career, and my passion for soccer are at the forefront of my priorities at this time in my life,” Del Rosario said. “I want to build upon my skills and gain experience in my major here in the CNMI so I’m currently looking at companies where I can work as an intern. After a few years, I do intend to pursue a master’s degree in my field.”

When asked about his career in soccer, Del Rosario answered “Soccer will always be a part of my life, so I also intend to pursue a professional career in soccer if given the opportunity.” “Additionally, with the amount of support I’ve been receiving from the community in the CNMI, it’s only right I give back. If there’s always an opportunity to represent the CNMI for soccer, I will always step up to the challenge.”

For students aiming to further their education, Del Rosario encouraged them to study and work hard because it will all pay off with the right mentors and strategy. However, he reminded them not to forget having fun and enjoying the memories they can make while in high school.

Del Rosario concluded by thanking his support system.

“First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge the support I’ve received and continue to receive from my family. They have helped and guided me throughout my career, and for that, I’m grateful. Secondly, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to Mr. Jerry Tan, the staff of NMIFA, and all the coaches that I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They all have helped me become the player and person I am today. Lastly, I would like to thank the teachers who helped me prepare for college classes. My journey at Northern Kentucky wouldn’t have been the same without their guidance and commitment.”

To learn more about Mount Carmel School’s athletic program, visit www.mountcarmelsaipan.com. (PR)

Mount Carmel School recognizes 2015 AlumKnight Enrico Del Rosario as he continues to excel as…

[5
14532,1181
post-325462","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-del-rosario","tag-mcs
["GET
