OHAS, located at the lobby with a clear view of the ocean, goes by the mantra “freshness is our recipe” that denotes quality and great taste that’s worth every penny.

With more than 20 years’ experience working in bakeries of 5-star luxury hotels, executive pastry chef Samuel Hong oversees the making of bread and cakes at OHAS. “We’re constantly working on making healthy and delicious bread using natural fermented ingredients…Our goal is to deliver the best quality baked products that makes everyone proud including our own staff who help create and promote OHAS treats so that customers enjoy every bite,” he said.

Hong lives by a three-pronged principle in baking bread and cakes at OHAS. “First, the use of natural fermentation—to use raisins, beer, lactobacillus, and rye, instead of artificial yeast-based fermentation; second, low temperature fermentation to soften the bread’s texture and enhance the flavor of the ingredients by long-baked, low-temperature fermentation; and lastly, all assorted bakery and cakes are prepared on a daily basis with no preservatives used,” he said.

Premium cakes abound at OHAS by Kensington Hotel Saipan.
