{"id":326187,"date":"2020-07-10T06:03:07","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T20:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=326187"},"modified":"2020-07-10T06:03:07","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T20:03:07","slug":"july-15-is-deadline-to-file-your-tax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/july-15-is-deadline-to-file-your-tax\/","title":{"rendered":"July 15 is deadline to file your tax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Finance is reminding everyone that the deadline for the filing of taxes in the CNMI is coming up next week, Wednesday, July 15, following a three-month extension to provide relieve due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Finance Secretary David Atalig said in an interview that the Division of Revenue &amp; Taxation is currently working on all filings. \u201cThe tax filing deadline was moved from April 15th to July 15th. Division of Revenue &amp; Taxation is processing all tax return filings and we hope to process the first batch of Child Tax Credit payments by Aug. 15th or earlier,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs for other tax refunds\/rebates, we hope to have this all processed and paid out by end of August or early September,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres announced the special relief to individuals and businesses who are struggling with the economic downturn as a result of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>To access digital versions of the tax forms, taxpayers are encouraged to visit the Department of Finance website at www.dof.gov.mp\/forms.
