{"id":327254,"date":"2020-07-29T06:00:36","date_gmt":"2020-07-28T20:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=327254"},"modified":"2020-07-29T06:00:36","modified_gmt":"2020-07-28T20:00:36","slug":"chcc-and-pss-host-school-based-immunization-outreach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/chcc-and-pss-host-school-based-immunization-outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"CHCC and PSS host school-based Immunization Outreach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. and CNMI Public School System are conducting a school-based vaccination outreach for children to be brought up to date with recommended immunizations. <\/p>\n<p>According to the CHCC Immunization Program, based on the CNMI immunization coverage for school aged children in school year 2019-2020, more than 800 of CNMI children are at risk of getting a vaccine-preventable disease.<\/p>\n<p>The dates and location of the school-based Immunization Outreach is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>July 29\tGarapan Elementary School<br \/>\nJuly 30 Koblerville Elementary School<br \/>\nAug. 4 Koblerville Elementary School<br \/>\nAug. 5 Marianas High School<br \/>\nAug. 6 Marianas High School<br \/>\nAug. 11 Marianas High School<br \/>\nAug. 12\tOleai Elementary School<br \/>\nAug. 13 Saipan Southern High School<br \/>\nAug. 18 Saipan Southern High School<br \/>\nAug. 19\tSan Vicente Elementary School<br \/>\nAug. 20 Dandan Middle School<br \/>\nAug. 25 FMS Middle School<br \/>\nAug. 26 WSR Elementary School<br \/>\nAug. 27 Kagman High School<br \/>\nSept. 1 Kagman Elementary School<br \/>\nSept. 2 Chacha Middle School<br \/>\nSept. 3 Hopwood Middle School<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is it for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At this time, this outreach is available for students who need an update with their immunizations and by appointment only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appointment process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your child needs an update with recommended immunizations, your child\u2019s school will contact you via email if your child needs an updated immunization.<\/p>\n<p>Bring your child to the School Outreach Site on the scheduled day.<\/p>\n<p>Pay $5 for a School Health Certificate<br \/>\nMake a payment at the School Outreach Site OR<br \/>\nMake a secured payment online at https:\/\/chcc.gov.mp\/immunization.php<\/p>\n<p>Fill out a Health Certificate Authorization Release form to release your child\u2019s School Health Certificate to their respective school. Authorization for Health Certificate Release form: shorturl.at\/pDOVX<br \/>\nChildren need to be accompanied by a parent\/legal guardian.<\/p>\n<p>The School Health Certificate will be sent directly to your child\u2019s school within 7 business days of the appointment. The CHCC Immunization Program will print and provide updated Health Certificates directly to your child\u2019s school for their enrollment requirements. <\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I find out if my child is up to date?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To find out if your child is up to date with their vaccines please call the Immunization Program at 236-8745\/2130 or your child\u2019s school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My child is up to date with vaccines, what if they only need a School Health Certificate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your child is up to date and only needs, a School Health Certificate, pay the fee and fill out an authorization form releasing your child\u2019s School Health Certificate to their respective school. <\/p>\n<p>Make a secured payment online at https:\/\/chcc.gov.mp\/immunization.php AND<br \/>\nFill out the Authorization for Health Certificate Release form here: shorturl.at\/pDOVX<\/p>\n<p>For other frequently asked questions about the immunization outreach, visit:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.chcc.gov.mp\/DocumentFiles\/immunization_13_925149679.pdf<br \/>\nAs a reminder, it is essential for everyone in the community to continue to practice good hand-hygiene, wear a face-covering, social distancing, and limit time spent in public places as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Practice the 3 W\u2019s \u2013 Wash your hands. Watch your distance. Wear a face covering.<\/p>\n<p>Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, avoid touching your face, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve.<\/p>\n<p>Use and alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.<\/p>\n<p>Practice social distancing, which means avoiding close contact with people in order to avoid catching the virus yourself and to avoid passing it on to others.<\/p>\n<p>Wear a face covering.
