Owner Pamela Olivia V. Walsh operated a small English conversation school in Japan for eight years and taught in several companies and public schools. She believes in trying to cultivate a learning environment that has substantial effects on a student’s educational progress.

“That’s where our name, LIVEnglish comes from… LIVEnglish is a multifaceted program that immerses students in an ‘English environment and culture’ abroad. Since Saipan is a diverse community, we help foreign students with English proficiency, English as a second language, conversational skills, and offer homestay programs,” she said

“We accept foreign and non-foreign students from pre-Kindergarten (or 3 years old) all the way to adults and we also offer Homework Help, Business English, College Preparation, and Basic Japanese lessons… We also offer tutoring services and lessons online,” she added.

Attending summer school for children has proven to be more important than ever to regain learning loss when the COVID-19 virus was declared as a pandemic in March with many schools abruptly closed and went online. Walsh believes that extra courses taken mean a good head start in the incoming school year.

“We would like to make the most out of the summer break for students and currently, we have an ongoing ‘Summer School Before Back to School’ program that runs for 10 days Monday to Friday from 1pm to 3pm. This includes 20 hours of reading, writing, and Math for kindergarten to 12th grade students and we also have tutoring services Monday-Friday, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm,” Walsh said.

LIVEnglish accepts students from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

“The safety of students and teachers is also our priority.
