I think part of why we are so advanced because we are pushed by competition,” he said.

“The intense competition is what drives us to work tirelessly to provide our subscribers with amazing products and services and unmatched customer experience everyday with the products that keep you connected with the things that matter most. Enhancing the quality of your connections and empowering you to connect new ways through 5G is just an example how we deliver our products,” he added.

Since it is new, consumers ask how fast is 5G going to be? DOCOMO Pacific director of Segment Marketing Keo Torre said it will be 10 times faster than your average home internet speed. “Up to 250 mbps download and up to 15 mbps upload… now that the mobile 5G has landed, we are rolling out with a ‘hotspot’ approach, really taking a look and picking strategic areas to deliver that superfast 5G experience that we are looking to grow in the islands for the years to come,” he said.

“The 5G ‘hotspot’ on Saipan is located at the Paseo De Marianas and in Guam at Inos Plaza and Ypao Beach Park. The goal is to select these ‘hotspots’ that are accessible, on an open space which makes it easy to adhere to social distancing guidelines .. but also places that people go to have fun,” he added.

DOCOMO Pacific president and CEO Roderick Boss at yesterday’s virtual launch of their mobile 5G Technology.

DOCOMO Pacific’s 5G mobile technology is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S20 series, S20 plus, S20 Ultra, and LG phones specifically LGB50. “We have ongoing promos with the Samsung S20 series at the store that people can avail of,” Torre said.

“If you are team (Samsung) Galaxy, there are specific Note20’s dropping in the near future. If you are Team Apple, the next mobile devices Apple will be launching are 5G capable,” Torre added.

Boss said that the road to DOCOMO Pacific’s 5G has been an exciting one as it started in March 2019. “We opened the DOCOMO 5G open lab Guam and this was created with the shareholders and serves as a full 5G lab. Local and international partners have come to test and develop practical solutions and use cases in a 5G environment. It the only Docomo 5G lab out of Japan.”

“5G is more than speed. It’s the gateway for Guam and the CNMI to enter the next level of innovation and technology. Think self-driving vehicles, fully integrated home IoT, VR and AR for a remote-learning video connection so clear your kids feel as if they’re physically in the classroom. There are many promising opportunities in the near future. We are proud to be the first to provide you with 5G coverage and promise to be with you every step of the way to our 5G future.”

For more information, visit DOCOMO Pacific on Gualo Rai Middle Road or call (670) 483-227.

DOCOMO Pacific set a precedent in Guam and the CNMI yesterday as they officially rolled…

[11
17909
post-327746","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","tag-docomo
["GET
