Lawmakers in the CNMI House of Representatives honored Deer Meat for Dinner influencer Robert Arrington yesterday with a House resolution that thanks him for his effort to promote the CNMI as a destination for ecotourism.<\/p>\n
In accepting the plaque for H.R. 21-31, Arrington talked about how his first trip to the islands in 2018 introduced him to a \u201cbeautiful place\u201d and its \u201cwonderful people,\u201d compelling him to return, this time with his family. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe beauty of the CNMI is untold, and I take it as a personal responsibility to tell the entire world, not only how beautiful it is, but how accessible it is, and how ready it is for their arrival,\u201d he said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter if we have just five people come here from the [U.S.] mainland. Those five will become seeds that [will] tell all the people in their group how amazing it is, and those five will send more and more people here. <\/p>\n
\u201cEven if it\u2019s just one person coming, when they go home, I guarantee you they will have a wonderful story to tell,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Rep. Joseph Lee Pan Guerrero (R-Saipan), who introduced the resolution, wished for Arrington\u2019s return to the CNMI. They are set to leave the CNMI on Aug. 20, Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve done tremendously to promote the CNMI. \u2026I hope that in the near future, you return back here and continue assisting us in promoting the CNMI,\u201d said Guerrero. \u201c\u2026As they say, we have a culture\u2026to embrace our visitors. You are our visitors, our CNMI family.\u201d<\/p>\n
Guerrero and other House lawmakers also gave Arrington the CNMI\u2019s official seal, saying \u201cI hope that… [when] you think about and reminisce about the CNMI, you see our faces in this seal.\u201d <\/p>\n
House Speaker Blas Jonathan Attao (R-Saipan) also thanked Arrington and his team for promoting the CNMI, adding that it is \u201can opportunity to promote our home and who we are as a people.\u201d<\/p>\n
For his part, Arrington expressed appreciation and gratitude in return. \u201cThe CNMI is my second home. I love each and every one of you. I thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart, for your friendship and your encouragement and your support.
