All inbound travelers coming to the CNMI, no matter their point of origin, must undergo a minimum of five to seven days of quarantine at a designated government quarantine facility.<\/p>\n
According to a statement from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. and the Governor\u2019s COVID-19 Task Force, all incoming travelers will undergo the mandatory quarantine of five to seven days, plus testing on arrival and the fifth day after arrival. This protocol takes effect at once and will last until further notice. This comes soon after Guam returned to lockdown last Sunday, when Guam saw over 90 positive cases over the last week.<\/p>\n
Based on the CNMI protocol, individuals will wait for the result of their fifth day test for a minimum of 72 hours, and if they are negative, they will be released from quarantine. <\/p>\n
For travelers who will be requesting for \u201cessential work\u201d approval, their request will be assessed based on the \u201cstrength of justification, point of origin, prearrival polymerase chain reaction test, and transit\/flight plans.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cEntry requirements may be subject to change for travelers by the CNMI health official based on epidemiological factors, which include, but not limited to, travel in the last 30 days from low-risk areas,\u201d said the CHCC and task force statement.
