{"id":328679,"date":"2020-08-26T06:04:40","date_gmt":"2020-08-25T20:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=328679"},"modified":"2020-08-26T06:04:40","modified_gmt":"2020-08-25T20:04:40","slug":"break-in-at-saipan-community-church","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/break-in-at-saipan-community-church\/","title":{"rendered":"Break-in at Saipan Community Church"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saipan Community Church was broken into last Monday and police is continuing its search for the suspect or suspects. <\/p>\n<p>According to Department of Public Safety spokesperson Dre Pangelinan, Saipan Community Church was broken into and the incident was reported at around 8:45pm on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said the search continues, with the little amount of information they have on the suspect who was described as 5\u20196\u201d, a little muscular, in dark clothing, and had slightly long hair.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan noted that DPS got the description from the witness, a teacher who lives in the Saipan Community School\u2019s premises, who reported the incident. The witness said the suspect was seen for just a glimpse as he fled the scene. <\/p>\n<p>When asked if anything was reported missing, Pangelinan said there was no report of anything missing at the church or school. <\/p>\n<p>According to the police report, the witness told police they uncovered the break-in after hearing the sound of glass shattering in the distance. <\/p>\n<p>As the witness looked toward  the direction of the noise, they noticed the suspect, as described above, running from the scene. That\u2019s when the witness immediately contacted authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said the Oleai Beach Bar and Grill was also burglarized last Aug 18.
