{"id":328952,"date":"2020-09-01T06:00:14","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T20:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=328952"},"modified":"2020-09-01T06:00:14","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T20:00:14","slug":"funding-okd-for-road-repairs-flood-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/funding-okd-for-road-repairs-flood-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding OK\u2019d for road repairs, flood control"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>House Speaker Blas Jonathan \u201cBJ\u201d Tenorio Attao (R-Saipan) and fellow Precinct 3 representatives expressed their full support for the Northern Marianas Housing Corp. and the Department of Public Works for identifying priority projects in the precinct area.]<\/p>\n<p>The priority projects are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beach Road improvement &#8211;<\/strong> Placement of base course to be graded and compacted, pavement and resurfacing with inclusion of road markings from American Memorial Park to Pacific Islands Club.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flood mitigation of Chili St. <\/strong>&#8211; Elevation to correct street grade paving, and drainage improvement in and around the San Jose Church in Oleai.<\/p>\n<p>Attao said that, together with Reps. Jose Itibus (R-Saipan), Edmund Villagomez (Ind-Saipan), Ralph Yumul (R-Saipan), Marco Peter (R-Saipan), and Ivan Blanco (R-Saipan), they have been working to secure funding for these priority projects. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI truly appreciate everyone\u2019s patience as securing full funding remains a challenge.
