{"id":329075,"date":"2020-09-02T06:02:03","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T20:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=329075"},"modified":"2020-09-02T06:02:03","modified_gmt":"2020-09-01T20:02:03","slug":"3-die-of-covid-19-in-guam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/3-die-of-covid-19-in-guam\/","title":{"rendered":"3 die of COVID-19 in Guam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Guam reported three more COVID-19 deaths yesterday, bringing to 13 the total number of people in Guam who fell victim to the virus that causes COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>According to the latest advisory from the Joint Information Center in Guam, the first fatality occurred at approximately 12:04am, when a 73-year-old female with underlying health issues passed away. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Memorial Hospital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 8:30am, the second patient, a 36-year-old female, passed away at GMH. She is the island\u2019s second youngest COVID-related fatality.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both patients were not known COVID-19 cases. \u00a0It was only when they were brought to GMH that they were then swabbed, and the results came back positive.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 9am, a third patient, a 74-year-old male, passed away at Naval Hospital Guam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the people of Guam, we have had too many days filled with grief and too many lives lost. Thirteen people have succumbed to this virus. Contrary to what some have said, not all of them were elderly\u2014two of them were in their 30s, with their lives ahead of them,\u201d said Guam Gov.
