{"id":33041,"date":"2014-04-22T18:11:16","date_gmt":"2014-04-22T10:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tribune.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=33041"},"modified":"2014-04-22T18:11:16","modified_gmt":"2014-04-22T10:11:16","slug":"2k-worth-sports-equipment-stake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/2k-worth-sports-equipment-stake\/","title":{"rendered":"$2K worth of sports equipment at stake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Division of Youth Services and Department of Community and Cultural Affairs will be awarding about $2,000 worth of sports equipment to schools with the most entrants in the PIC Hafa Adai 5K this Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Two schools in the elementary division and one each in the junior high and high school will each receive $500 worth of equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the 5K race this weekend has attracted around 380 runners and organizers are expected the number to go over 400 before the end of the week.<\/p>\n<p>The Hafa Adai 5K will have participants passing through four coloring stations along the 5K route. Volunteers will celebrate each participant\u2019s arrival with a splash of blue, yellow, pink, or red colored cornstarch. This biodegradable and non-toxic mixture will have participants laughing all the way from station to station.<\/p>\n<p>Entry forms are available at the PIC front Desk and at Saipan Shell Stations. Entry fees are only $10 and the first 500 paid entries will receive a free limited edition event shirt. Proceeds from the Hafa Adai 5K will go to the CNMI Salvation Army.
