Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan is sponsoring a hole-in-one prize in the Rotary Club of Saipan\u2019s Goodwill Golf Tournament that will be held this Saturday at the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan and Guam owner\/operator Marcia Ayuyu said they will be giving away $5,000 to the lucky golfer that will make an ace on the par-3, 155-yard hole No. 7 on the west course of the Kagman facility.<\/p>\n<p>The cash prize from McDonald\u2019s is one of the five hole-in-one prizes in the Rotary Club of Saipan\u2019s fundraising event. Triple J Motors, Atkins Kroll Saipan, and Joeten Motors are offering brand new cars as hole-in-one prizes, while Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc. is sponsoring the other $5,000 prize for the ace.<\/p>\n<p>Rotary Club of Saipan president Sonya Dancoe said they are holding the golf tournament in place of the organization\u2019s signature event\u2014the Las Vegas Night\u2014which they decided to forgo this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the cancelation of the Las Vegas Night and the challenging times that we are facing right now, Dancoe said they are thankful for the support they are getting from the community for the golf fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>Ayuyu, meanwhile, acknowledged the difficult times that we are in due to the pandemic, but would like to assure the Rotary Club of Saipan that McDonald\u2019s remains committed to the organization and its goals of helping the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know how tough it is to raise funds for an organization,\u201d said Ayuyu, who used to be Rotary\u2019s president. Especially, at this time, but all the more that we need to step up and help the community. McDonald\u2019s Saipan and Guam will always do its best to assist our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Funds that will be raise from this weekend\u2019s golf tournament will be used for Rotary\u2019s community service and other projects. Dancoe said are looking at raising between $10,000 and $15,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to be realistic with our target because we know we are in difficult times.
