Ralph DLG Torres predicts that the Republican Party will prevail again at this November’s election.

Speaking at a radio’s news briefing yesterday, Torres said he is confident that the people know what direction the CNMI is heading and understand the Commonwealth’s current situation, that voters know that the administration under the Republic Party’s leadership has been pushing hard to take care of the community.

“And I think now with COVID-19 here, there’s no denial or reason to say that the leadership and the Republican Party, [together with] the community, have taken that extra precaution to make sure that not just the elders are taken cared of but everyone…here in the CNMI,” he said.

The governor pointed out that, with everything that has been thrown at his administration, whether it’s a typhoon or pandemic, they continue to move forward, and that, despite the false accusations and false information being thrown around, they continue to do what’s good for the CNMI.

“And we do have solutions,” Torres said, noting that retirees continue to get their retirement pensions. “So I believe that our community knows that we’ve been taking care of our community.”

The governor urged the people to go out and exercise their right to vote.

The Republican Party has 21 candidates in this election, while the Democratic Party has 18.
