{"id":331555,"date":"2020-10-14T06:02:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T20:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=331555"},"modified":"2020-10-14T06:02:00","modified_gmt":"2020-10-13T20:02:00","slug":"rotary-golf-tournament-makes-over-10000-for-club-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/rotary-golf-tournament-makes-over-10000-for-club-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Rotary golf tournament makes  over $10,000 for club projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Rotary Club of Saipan\u2019s Goodwill Golf Tournament last Oct. 10 generated over $10,000 that will be used to fund the club\u2019s future projects.<\/p>\n<p>At the club\u2019s regular Tuesday meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan in Garapan, club president Sonya Dancoe said the club raised a grand total of $21,247.80 plus expenses. The Rotary spent $10,660 for the event, leaving them with a total of $10,587.80. The golf tournament attracted 100 players.<\/p>\n<p>Dancoe hinted that there could be another tournament next year. <\/p>\n<p>When broken down, the tournament\u2019s raffle tickets totaled $3,029, sponsored cash donations amounted to $8,620, players cash payments amounted to $4,960, player cash and credit card payments at the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort totaled $3,824, and Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan gave $814.80.<\/p>\n<p>Dancoe stated that the donations covered the total expense of $10,600 and no one had to pay out of pocket. The biggest expense was the banquet at the Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan but Fiesta waived the fee, or the banquet meal, for the volunteers.
