It will also go to activities that foster CCA’s mission of giving hope “such as every month there are survivor meetings; they meet and talk to each other and form a network where we can help each other.”

McDonald’s Saipan general manager Marcia Ayuyu said they have been donating gift certificates and other forms of donation to the MMAC for many years.

“This year we decided to donate $1,000 and it’s for them to use for cancer victims,” Ayuyu said.

Ayuyu’s son, Joe Ayuyu Jr., said it is a good cause to donate for. “We’d like to thank the family of the CCA for being here and look forward to working with them.”

Ambyth Group’s donation is their first time to support the MMAC.

“Were very happy that it’s their first time to become major sponsors for the MMAC and we look forward to working with them,” Borja said.

Precision Medical Imaging, a medical company in the process of making a new medical center here in the CNMI, also got onboard this year’s MMAC with a $1,000 donation. It is set to hold a grand opening for its new medical center in the next few weeks.

Joining Precision Medical Imaging in supporting MMAC is Saint Michael’s Medical Response, which also put in $1,000.

Precision and Saint Michael’s president Joseph Santos was pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s MMAC.

“Saint Michael’s has been donating to the MMAC since the day we opened our doors back in 2008 and up ’til now we still donate. For Precision, we thought of becoming a sponsor as well because we’re in line with medical imaging. We will provide diagnostic imaging services to the community soon, and our brand new CT scanner will hopefully be able to detect cancer sooner and the sooner it is detected the sooner the intervention can start,” Santos said.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, and its really a no-brainer to donate to the MMAC because it’s for a good cause,” he added.

Borja said this is Precision’s first time to become a major sponsor “and we’re very happy to have them onboard and Saint Michael’s as well since they have been contributors to the MMAC for awhile now.”

This year’s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT&E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care/FHP.
