This holiday season, the Saipan Chamber of Commerce is asking the CNMI community to support local businesses, artists, and vendors by making all your purchases locally during the \u201cBuy in the CNMI\u201d campaign. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur local businesses are the lifeblood of our community. Every purchase at an on-island business goes back to our community through taxes, donations, and the creation of of local jobs. By keeping our dollars locally, we can invest in each other as an investment in our community,\u201d said the Chamber in a statement yesterday.<\/p>\n
For this upcoming holiday season, the Chamber asks that you spend all purchases at local businesses, then share with your family and friends why it is important to support local. <\/p>\n
Additionally, the Chamber will be hosting a social media \u201cBuy in the CNMI\u201d campaign, with a sweepstakes opportunity to win $500 in gift certificates to the Chamber member establishments of the winner\u2019s choice. To enter to win the sweepstakes on Facebook or Instagram: <\/p>\n
1. Post a picture at one of our Chamber member establishments, and write why it\u2019s important to \u201cBuy in the CNMI\u201d in the post. Chamber members will have a \u201cBuy in the CNMI\u201d sticker on their door, or can be found by visiting saipanchamber.com\/buyinthecnmi. <\/p>\n
2. Include #BuyintheCNMISweepstakes in the post. <\/p>\n
3. Tag the Chamber\u2019s Facebook or Instagram accounts. <\/p>\n
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The contest will run from Nov. 6 to Nov. 30, which includes \u201cSmall Business Saturday\u201d on Nov. 28. The winner will be randomly selected from the above criteria at the Chamber\u2019s Dec. 2 general membership meeting.
