NMI Democratic Party chair Nola K. Hix said yesterday they are confident that the Biden-Harris tandem is a presidency for all Americans and that they look forward to an excellent partnership with Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) in the next four years and beyond.<\/p>\n
In his congratulatory message yesterday to Biden and Harris, Sablan said the largest ever voter turnout and the largest-ever popular vote for Biden and Harris confirm that democracy in American remains strong.<\/p>\n
Hix congratulated the people of America for electing Biden and Harris in what she described as a historic time, both locally and nationally, where more women across the country are running and getting elected into office.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve just elected our first female vice president,\u201d Hix said.<\/p>\n
She said that, despite the challenges surrounding this pandemic, millions of people came out and participated in democracy by exercising their right to vote. She said it was quite a race and now that it\u2019s over, the people must come together as a nation to heal what divides America.<\/p>\n
