Expect dangerous rip currents along any reefs that receive north to northeast swell throughout today, Wednesday.

This is creating dangerous swimming conditions, especially in and around any cuts in the reef. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

Localized beach erosion is possible due to high astronomical tides. High tides will occur late morning and around 8pm to 9pm in the evening.

The public and inexperienced ocean goers should remain out of the water due to strong rip currents. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
