KFC Saipan delivered a total of 120 meals to the men and women of the CNMI COVID-19 Task Force last Tuesday to show support and gratitude for their hard work in keeping the CNMI community safe from the virus.<\/p>\n

This venture is in collaboration with the feeding program of YUM! HeartComm initiative, wherein KFC outlets all over the world are given the option to choose their beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

According to KFC Saipan store manager Yole Aldan, the\u00a0goal of this program is to support and recognize the efforts of front-liners in the CNMI community. \u201cWe would like to thank them for their bravery, sacrifices, and their unflagging compassion\u2026,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is a feeding program is not only by KFC Saipan but is also being done on this very day around the world wherever there are KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut outlets.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the second time that KFC Saipan did this. The first time was in April when it donated 100 meals to Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. front-liners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the front-liners as they are the ones doing the hard work and we salute them for their non-stop commitment to help everybody,\u201d Aldan added.<\/p>\n

Receiving the meals in behalf of the front-liners was CHCC CEO Esther Muna. \u201cWe thank them because the people of KFC\u2014during the pandemic especially the early part of the outbreak\u2014has always supported us. \u2026They don\u2019t have to do this but we are really grateful,\u201d she said. \u201cThe people at KFC are just as important as we are. \u2026They are also essential workers. \u2026I think KFC was one of the first restaurants on island that established COVID-19 health and safety measures in their restaurant. \u2026I also want them and the community to understand that we do this as part of our job and we were here since the beginning and we will be here until the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is YUM!\u2019s final event of the year and is believed to be the world\u2019s largest YUM! cross-brand corporate social responsibility in food delivery.\u00a0YUM! Foundation is known for encouraging fastfood franchises in the U.S. mainland to save extra food and donate them to non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n

The partnership between KFC and YUM! Foundation started in 1992 and has helped feed people doing extraordinary jobs that deal with community service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
