{"id":334183,"date":"2020-11-30T06:05:55","date_gmt":"2020-11-29T20:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=334183"},"modified":"2020-11-30T06:05:55","modified_gmt":"2020-11-29T20:05:55","slug":"ipi-not-to-blame-if-china-blacklists-cnmi-due-to-gambling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/ipi-not-to-blame-if-china-blacklists-cnmi-due-to-gambling\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018IPI not to blame if China blacklists CNMI due to gambling\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC chief executive officer Donald Browne stressed that IPI has nothing to do with a recent statement by the Chinese Communist Party that it plans to \u201cblacklist\u201d cross-border gambling tourism destinations, which could possibly include the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>He conceded that the party, which is the ruling government of China, did come out with a statement that it is going to bar destinations that have gambling tourism destinations but \u201cit really has nothing to do with us because there\u2019s already gambling here before.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>This statement came about during the Commonwealth Casino Commission board\u2019s monthly meeting Tuesday when CCC chair Edward C.
