(Jayson Camacho)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Bank of Guam donated $3,000 to the 2014 MMAC committee Thursday morning at its offices in Garapan, making the company a title sponsor of this year\u2019s edition of the Marianas March Against Cancer.<br \/>\nManny Borja, 2014 MMAC overall committee chairman, said that Bank of Guam is a longstanding title sponsor of the annual event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have been a title sponsor for many years and they have been fully supportive of the MMAC and we look forward to working with them for years to come,\u201d Borja said.<\/p>\n<p>BOG vice president and regional manager Marcie M. Tomokane said they had been participating in the Marianas March Against Cancer event when it was still called the \u201cRelay for Life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBOG had been participating in the march against cancer for many years since \u2018Relay for Life\u2019 and we have been supportive of the vision and mission of the Commonwealth Cancer Association,\u201d Tomokane said.<\/p>\n<p>Tomokane said this is in line with the bank\u2019s consistent support of other non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have always been supportive of many non-profit organizations, and we will continue supporting the MMAC for many years to come,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Eloy S. Inos who was present at the time of the donation, said he is glad that many donors have come forward to support the MMAC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an event that the [Commonwealth Cancer Association] holds every year so we can be more aware of the causes of this deadly disease. I want to congratulate Bank of Guam for donating to the MMAC,\u201d Inos said.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT&amp;E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care\/FHP.
