The University of Guam Latte Tones and the Mangilao Hot Jazz Band invite the community to get in the holiday spirit this weekend by tuning into their virtual holiday show, the \u201cQuarantine Quistmas Quoncert.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
The groups will perform two shows: on Friday and on Saturday, both from 7:30pm to 9pm. The performances will be streamed live via Zoom at\u00a0http:\/\/url.uog.edu\/QQQ.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe students have worked diligently in preparing performances to kick off the holiday season,\u201d said music professor Randall Johnson.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Each student has individually recorded themselves from a quiet space at home, then staff recording engineers and videographers combined the recordings into a single choral or instrumental performance. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also have some stunning vocal and piano solos,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cThis is a rare opportunity to hear and see the results of student musicians working individually in their own recording spaces.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
