Shell Marianas followed suit the next morning. <\/p>\n<p>Gas prices went up from $3.88 for a gallon of Extra fuel to $3.98 per gallon. Mobil\u2019s Supreme fuel is now $4.43 per gallon. <\/p>\n<p>The lowest price of fuel in the CNMI before the government shutdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic was $3.83. Gas is now 15 cents higher than pre-COVID days. <\/p>\n<p>According to motorist who requested that he be named only as Juan, the increase in gas prices shouldn\u2019t come as a shock anymore.  \u201cEverything is increasing now so gas prices will also increase. I should have bought plenty of gas while the gas was like $3,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Another motorist said she didn\u2019t even notice that gas prices increased. \u201cI never realized gas was always changing.
