The house of soap in the northern end of the island will be offering discounts just in time for Mother\u2019s Day this coming May 11.
\nFrom May 1 to May 11, Mariana Ocean will be offering 10-percent off its entire inventory, which includes soap, bath salts, body lotions, body scrubs, lip butter, liquid body soap, body creams, and body and hair mist.<\/p>\n
On top of the 10-percent discount on all products, Mariana Ocean will also offer free specialized gift-wrapping for purchases of $50 or more, according to Mariana Resort general manager Gloria Cavanagh.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur free gift-wrapping will not be your regular Christmas wrapping. It will be beautiful for the moms and we will use baskets, tissue paper, and ribbons,\u201d Cavanagh said. \u201cSo come over, stop by, and get something. You\u2019re mom will absolutely love it.\u201d
\nMariana Resort owns Mariana Ocean, which opened with much fanfare last February with over 300 guests in attendance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have had our struggles but we\u2019re very surprised that, of all the customers at Mariana Ocean, almost 30 percent are local. They drive up here to buy our products. Not many realize that the Garapan store is also open but its hours are only from 5pm to 11pm to capture the tourist market.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said locals have come to appreciate the specialty scents their soap and other products bring to the table.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey come up and not only on Saturdays and Sundays but they come up here on a daily basis. A lot of them buy it for gifts for off-island relatives and friends and for guests who are visiting them on the island.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cavanagh said that Mariana Ocean will be augmenting its lineup of products soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cNew products will be coming in a few months. New scents take time to develop since curing takes a month. One such product is goat\u2019s milk.\u201d<\/p>\n
