{"id":340313,"date":"2021-03-16T06:00:18","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T20:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=340313"},"modified":"2021-03-16T06:00:18","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T20:00:18","slug":"free-dementia-awareness-conference-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/free-dementia-awareness-conference-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Dementia Awareness Conference Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Guam\/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program of the University of Guam\u2019s School of Health will be hosting a Dementia Awareness Conference Series over the next four weeks to provide education, training, and awareness on Alzheimer\u2019s Disease and Related Dementias.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDementia can be overwhelming not only for those who have it, but for their caregivers,\u201d said Margaret Hattori-Uchima, dean of the School of Health. \u201cWith this virtual conference series, our hope is to improve the quality of life of our loved ones with dementia and of their families and caregivers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The sessions are free and open to the public in Guam and all of Micronesia.
