Projects from each grade level were separated out on\u00a0campus and rated by judges from the local science community. Students were rated on\u00a0Experimental Design Process,\u00a0Data Collection &amp; Conclusions\u00a0as well as Visuals and Presentation. Then a second round of judging aimed to highlight the\u00a0scientific thought and thinking process, creative ability, understanding and creative problem-solving skills, clarity and organization\u00a0of the top projects from the previous round.<\/p>\n<p>According to a school statement, the\u00a0science\u00a0fair\u00a0was a culmination of all the hard work by students under the instruction of their teachers.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0fair\u00a0culminated with a live\u00a0virtual\u00a0award ceremony on the school&#8217;s\u00a0Facebook page and shared on the school&#8217;s learning platforms. Parents, students, and staff members were invited to view the projects on campus, which were displayed\u00a0in a socially distant manner,\u00a0and recognized the students\u2019 accomplishments and hard work.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the school\u2019s kindergarten through 3rd grade classes completed class projects together. The\u00a0kindergartners\u00a0researched &#8220;Fun with Magnets,&#8221; the 1st Grade\u00a0class successfully\u00a0grew plants from their own compost with\u00a0&#8220;From Garbage to Garden,&#8221; the\u00a02nd Grade studied\u00a0liquid solutions\u00a0and experimented with &#8220;Bubble it!&#8221; and the 3rd grade researched\u00a0\u201cWhich Cup Keeps Drinks Colder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSCS would like to thank the parents and guardians for all their help and support throughout this project, and to our volunteers who served as judges. We greatly appreciate the judges that came from our local\u00a0science\u00a0community,\u201d the SCS statement added.
