As part of its mission to support workforce development in the CNMI, the Tan Siu Lin Foundation recently donated $2,000 to the Northern Marianas College.<\/p>\n
The donation was made in support of the NMC Foundation\u2019s 16th Annual NMC Foundation Golf Tournament, which was held last week on March 20, 2021, at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort\u2019s East Course.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe support the college in its efforts to enhance its programs and services for students who are working to improve their lives through education,\u201d said Jerry Tan, CEO for TanHoldings. \u201cWe are proud to assist them in their efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe success of NMC\u2019s golf tournaments, including this year\u2019s, is largely due to the generosity and involvement of organizations like Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Tan Holdings Company,\u201d said NMC interim president Frankie Eliptico. \u201cWe are grateful for the company\u2019s involvement again this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
The NMC Foundation 16th annual open golf tournament featured hole-in-one prizes from McDonald\u2019s of Saipan, Pacifica Insurance, Joeten Motors, and Triple J Motors. Major sponsors for this year\u2019s tournament include Bank of Guam, Blackwood Furniture, Dial Rent-to-Own, Express Financial, IT&E, Island Training Solutions, J.C.T Enterprises, Inc., KZMI FM, LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort, Marianas Geotech Services, Marianas Insurance Company, Power 99, Saipan Computer Services, and T Galleria.<\/p>\n
The college is asking companies, organizations, or individuals who are interested in donating cash or education tax credit to help support the CNMI\u2019s postsecondary institution.
