(NMC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The staff senate of the Northern Marianas College recently recognized three hardworking staff members for their dedication and commitment to NMC.<\/p>\n<p>The three individuals, who are all from the college\u2019s finance office, are accountant Christina Cruz, accounting technician Nate Seng, and funds certification officer\/travel accountant Odin Garces. Each of them will receive a monetary prize and a reserved parking slot for the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>NMC staff senate president Geri Rodgers explained that the staff senate decided to launch the Staff of the Quarter recognition program\u2014where employees nominate and select colleagues for this special honor\u2014in the spirit of boosting morale. \u201cI have the great privilege of working alongside Christina, Odin, and Nate.\u00a0They are confident in their work, genuinely friendly, and help all of us work together to accomplish the mission of the college everyday,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cCongratulations to our first quarter recipients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz, Seng, and Garces were recognized last Thursday during an event held for NMC employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am blessed and thankful that my fellow colleagues voted for me to receive the Staff of the Quarter award,\u201d Cruz said. \u201cI believe that we all are deserving of such an award because we all work hard in our areas. I\u2019m looking forward to more recognition for other staff members in the upcoming quarters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seng said that he is honored to receive the distinction.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would like to thank the staff senate senators for coordinating such a great event for our staff and would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff that voted,\u201d Seng said. \u201cI am very humbled and grateful to be working with so many amazing staff members that are just as deserving of this honor.
