The CHCC Communicable Disease Investigation\/Inspection team has initiated contact tracing for contacts with the highest risk of exposure.<\/p>\n<p>CHCC also announced that they have successfully administered 35,000 COVID-19 vaccines so far. \u201cWe appreciate all the support and cooperation from the CNMI community,\u201d said a CHCC statement.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a news briefing last Friday, April 16, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres says the community needs to get vaccinated so the CNMI can achieve herd immunity and allow the CNMI to revive its economy. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got the right people around me to make right decisions. The success that we&#8217;ve had, it&#8217;s a community success, our success, and the leadership, I can\u2019t thank [them] enough. It&#8217;s a chain link, and if one chain is missing, it&#8217;s not going to be as successful,\u201d said Torres.<\/p>\n<p>He also commended all first responders, government employees, private partners, as well as the community who have taken the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, CHCC announced that it will be administering the Moderna COVID-19 for people who are 18 years and older at the Kagman Community Center in Kagman this Saturday, from 8am to 12pm. CHCC only has 200 shots available and encourages those who are interested to register by calling the CHCC Call Center at 682-7468 or register in person at the CHCC Call Center at IT&amp;E Chalan Laulau or visit vaccinatecnmi.com.<\/p>\n<p>In observance of the \u201cNational Take-Back Initiative,\u201d CHCC encourages the community to turn in their unused or expired medication for safe, anonymous disposal. New or used needles and syringes won\u2019t be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Those who want to turn in their unused or expired medication can turn it in on April 24 from 10am to 2pm at the CHCC Outpatient Pharmacy on Lower Navy Hill, Saipan, the Rota Health Center on Rota, or the Tinian Health Center on Tinian.<\/p>\n<p>CHCC will also be doing free COVID-19 testing this Wednesday at Kanoa Resort from 1pm to 4pm.
