{"id":342992,"date":"2021-04-27T06:05:03","date_gmt":"2021-04-26T20:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=342992"},"modified":"2021-04-27T06:05:03","modified_gmt":"2021-04-26T20:05:03","slug":"dys-puts-new-suvs-to-good-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/dys-puts-new-suvs-to-good-use\/","title":{"rendered":"DYS puts new SUVs to good use"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Youth Services\u2019 five brand-new Mazda CX5s, which were turned over to DYS two weeks ago on April 14, have since been distributed to the organization\u2019s multiple divisions and units. <\/p>\n<p>DYS\u2019 largest unit, the Child Protective Services, got two SUVs, with the Juvenile Probation Unit, the Family and Youth Enhancement Program, and DYS Administration receiving one SUV each respectively. <\/p>\n<p>For CPS, the brand-new SUVs were huge upgrades compared to the work vehicles they were using before. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur cars used to be [old models]. It was scary transporting clients in them because they might break down. The new cars are very handy and useful and really helped our programs,\u201d said CPS supervisor Julian Camacho. <\/p>\n<p>CPS uses their two new SUVs daily to aid in transporting their clients to counseling appointments.
