This is my second time to be involved in a bike race like this, the first was last Sunday, Padyakan. I also won the championship and this is my second win. I feel great, and I executed the race very well, and as I planned. I have biking experience from the Philippines. I used to bike with my friends but only when I came to Saipan did I actually get into competitive racing,” he said.

The course Angeles raced started at Banzai Cliff with the first turning point at Mobil Tanapag before proceeding to Suicide Cliff and then back to Banzai Cliff.

In terms of preparation for the race, Angeles said he practiced three times a week and went hard on the carbohydrates.

“Usually I do three times a week then rest, and eat more carbo. This event I only practiced one week because I also trained for the Padyakan. I couldn’t train as often as I would like since I work,” he said.

In an interview with Saipan Unity Lions Club president Alicia Barbo, she said the event is an annual fundraising event and proceeds raised will go to helping those in need within the community.

Edwin Angles came out victorious during his first race in the Saipan Unity Lions Club’s…

[5

post-343001","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports
["GET
