Deadline for the fall 2021 application only is July 1, 2021. You may pick up an application at our office or you may get one from the SHEFA website at\u00a0www.saipanshefa.net. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.0-magnitude quake in Marianas region<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At 9:01am on May 3, 2021, a report of a 5.0-magnitude earthquake occurred at\u00a017.927\u00b0N 147.088\u00b0E in the Marianas region. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings, or advisories that were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.3-magnitude quake northwest of Saipan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At 1:23pm on May 1, 2021, a report of a 4.3-magnitude earthquake occurred 64 kilometers northwest of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.\u00a0 (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BECQ sets beach cleanup on May 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality Beach Cleanup will be picking up trash at Makaka Beach on May 8, 2021, from 8am to 10am. If you would like to volunteer your time to clean and beautify our island, meet the BECQ representatives on Saturday between the ABC store and the casino at 7:45am. Volunteers will split into groups and clean until 10am. Bring reusable water bottles. For more information about volunteering, contact the BECQ at 664-8500\/1.
