{"id":343976,"date":"2021-05-11T06:02:06","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T20:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=343976"},"modified":"2021-05-11T06:02:06","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T20:02:06","slug":"nmibl-gears-up-for-3x3-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmibl-gears-up-for-3x3-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"NMIBL gears up for 3&#215;3 tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The newly reorganized Northern Marianas International Basketball League is gearing up for their upcoming 3&#215;3 Basketball Tournament that is expected to be the continuation of the Battle of the NORF 3-on-3 basketball tournament that concluded in April. <\/p>\n<p>According to Clint Albert, the tournament organizer and NMIBL board member, the plan is to launch the tournament for June 5 and 6 at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium with a target of 16 teams for the men\u2019s open division, four teams for the women\u2019s open, and four teams each for 16U girls and 16U boys division.<\/p>\n<p>Albert said this week is the deadline for all lineup submissions so interested teams should submit those as soon as possible. <\/p>\n<p>The organizer said that following the Battle of the NORF, NMIBL is getting a lot of interest and many have already signed up. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have about 70% for the open age men\u2019s and half way full for the other brackets, but, it\u2019s still first come first serve in terms of who submits all requirements,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>According to the NMIBL website, one of the requirements is a $65 entrance fee.
