Previous motorcade parades took place on May 1,8, and 9 and future motorcade parades are planned for this Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A Saipan Falun Dafa Saipan spokesperson, who asked that she only be identified by her first name, Catherine, thanked the Department of Public Safety for its help in ensuring that Falun Dafa\u2019s motorcade parades go smoothly, and helping making sure that the parades were \u201cpeaceful and full of righteousness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe universal value of \u2018Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance\u2019 will increasingly be rooted in the hearts of the simple and kind-hearted residents of Saipan. \u2026.Everyone is welcome to personally experience the physical and mental health and beauty that Falun Dafa brings to people through understanding the truth,\u201d said Catherine.<\/p>\n<p>Falun Dafa, or Falun Gong, is a religious movement that was formed in the early 1990s by U.S.-based religious leader Li Hongzhi, and the group\u2019s global headquarters are located in Deerpark, New York. Falun Dafa\u2019s teachings pull from Taoist and Buddhist traditions, and the group\u2019s members seek to achieve spiritual enlightenment through meditation and emphasizing morality and cultivating virtue.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese government cracked down on Falun Dafa in 1999, stating that the group is a \u201cheretical organization that threatens social stability.\u201d Since then, thousands of its practitioners have reportedly been persecuted and subjected to multiple human rights violations in China.
