By Thursday, the project was 90% finished and was expected to be finished by the end of the day. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pavilion itself is looking great now for our community to enjoy,\u201d said Precinct 2\u2019s Rep. John Paul Sablan (R-Saipan). <\/p>\n<p>Sablan thanked the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office for their support of the minority bloc\u2019s restoration and beautification projects, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services for supplying water to the group\u2019s multiple power washers. According to Sablan, around a day and a half to two days of the Civic Center project was dedicated to power-washing the area. <\/p>\n<p>The group\u2019s next restoration project will take place in San Antonio, where they will revitalize the basketball court there. \u201cWe want to paint the flooring with the actual specialized paint meant for basketball courts [to prevent skid]. \u2026We want to give our community the opportunity to enjoy that facility as well,\u201d said Sablan. <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_344217\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-344217\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Angel-Demapan-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-344217\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-344217\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Demapan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Rep. Angel Demapan (R-Saipan), who is the minority bloc spokesperson, said this islandwide revitalization project has been ongoing. \u201cThis is our tenth project so far. \u2026We\u2019re expanding the scope of our project in partnership with the Economic Council, and we\u2019re still focusing on our intent to really beautify the island and [promote] outdoor recreation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Demapan said the minority bloc will expand its revitalization projects to Rota. \u201cWe\u2019re excited.
