The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs\u2019 Division of Youth Services recently donated sports equipment to schools in Kagman.<\/p>\n

DYS donated various sports equipment to Kagman High School, Chacha Oceanview Junior High School, and to Kagman Elementary School.<\/p>\n

The donation was made as part of a bigger campaign to promote child abuse and neglect prevention and to encourage physical fitness among the youth. <\/p>\n

KagES Student Council president Kiana Camacho, 5th grade, said she felt glad and happy that DYS donated the sports equipment.<\/p>\n

KagES STUCO vice president Jordan Towai, 5th grade, echoed Camacho\u2019s sentiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am glad they brought the equipment because we don\u2019t have the basketball equipment and we will start using the equipment soon,\u201d Towai said.<\/p>\n

Rep. Antonio R. Agulto (Ind-Saipan) said that students from Kagman have been calling his office to ask for sports equipment for their schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe committed an agency where they have this grant funding for the kids and I am glad that DYS has done this for the students,\u201d Agulto said.<\/p>\n

DYS administrator Vivian Sablan said that DYS has been providing sports equipment as an additional outreach.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to reach out to the students for both outreach and a second priority by providing them equipment to promote heath and physical fitness,\u201d Sablan said.<\/p>\n

KagES staff presented Agulto with a certificate of appreciation and thanked DCCA-DYS for thinking of their school.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
