{"id":348028,"date":"2021-07-15T06:05:46","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T20:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=348028"},"modified":"2021-07-15T06:05:46","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T20:05:46","slug":"ipi-working-on-repatriating-its-chinese-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/ipi-working-on-repatriating-its-chinese-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"IPI working on repatriating  its Chinese workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC told the U.S District Court for the NMI that it is currently in the process of repatriating its Chinese workers. <\/p>\n<p>According to the 26th status report filed by IPI counsel Michael Dotts, IPI has been working with the Chinese Embassy to repatriate their Chinese workers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor its Chinese citizens, IPI is still waiting for the Chinese Embassy to approve the proposed flights back to China,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Dotts reported that the target travel dates for these workers is around the end of July or early August.<\/p>\n<p>Dotts also reported that a couple more former employees were repatriated to the Philippines during the reporting period.
