(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Lady Diann Torres Foundation will launch its sixth children\u2019s book, Kareran Sirena, this Saturday, July 17, during the Project Liffang event to be held at the Carolinian Utt from 8am to 12pm. <\/p>\n<p>Kareran Sirena was written by young authors Ariah Villagomez, Emma Sablan, and Serenity Fujihira of the CNMI Girl Scout and guided by 2019 Miss Marianas Shannon Sasamoto. Illustrations were produced by local artist Mikeala San Nicolas. <\/p>\n<p>The book takes readers on an adventure with a young mermaid named Sirena who explores the Northern Mariana Islands. Sirena encounters several characters who, along the way, taught her important lessons about family and community in the Marianas.
