This training opportunity is being coordinated by the Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence in collaboration with the CNMI Sexual Assault Response. <\/p>\n
The webinar will feature a presentation by Dr. Jim Hopper, a clinical psychologist and Teaching Associate in Psychology at Harvard Medical School with over 25 years of clinical and consulting work focused on the psychological and biological effects of sexual assault, child abuse, and other traumatic experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Topics to be covered include\u00a0how stress and trauma can alter brain functioning during sexual assault and other traumas; the key brain circuitries impacted by stress and trauma; brain-based experiences, behaviors, and memory characteristics; implications for those who work with victims of sexual assault and other violence; and trauma-informed response.\u00a0<\/p>\n
